Natalie is the most capped player in Australian Softball history. She represented the Australian Open Women's Team, Aussie Spirit, from 1994-2008 playing 429 games for Australia. She competed in four Olympic Games (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008) and four World Championships (1994, 1998, 2002, 2006). Natalie was Captain of the Australian Team from 2005-2008, including captaining Australia at the 2006 World Championships and 2008 Olympic Games.

Australia’s short-stop and co-captain Natalie Ward broke Australia’s record for most game appearances when she represented Australia for the 357th time during the 2006 Canada Cup.
Ward surpassed former Australian great Sally McCreedy who set the record of 356 in 2002, during the Canada Cup.

Australian Captain, Natalie Ward reached another milestone in her outstanding softball career when Australia faced Canada thie week in the 2008 International Softball Challenge at Blacktown Olympic Park. Thursday night’s game marked Ward’s 400 appearance for the Australian Spirit in career that has spanned over 14 years.
